Steel enterprises areindustrial oxygen generatorsone of the industries with high demand. Using the combustion-supporting properties of high-purity oxygen, the carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon impurities in iron are oxidized, and the heat generated by oxidation ensures the high temperature required in steelmaking. Pure oxygen(99.2%),significantly shortens the steelmaking time in steel enterprises and improves steel quality.

Electric furnace oxygen blowing can accelerate the melting of the furnace materials and the oxidation of impurities, saving the enterprise a large amount of electricity consumption, and is also a fixed oxygen source for industrial oxygen generators.

High-furnace oxygen-enriched blast can increase the amount of coal injection, save coke consumption, and reduce the fuel ratio. Although the purity of oxygen-enriched air is only slightly higher than that of air (containing 24% ~ 25% oxygen), for industrial equipment with large blast volume, the oxygen consumption is also close to one-third of the oxygen used in steelmaking, and the oxygen consumption is also very large.

Non-ferrous metal smelting. In heavy metal smelting, pyrometallurgy is the main process. In addition to the oxidation of sulfur and iron, fuel combustion is also needed to provide heat. In order to strengthen the smelting process, reduce energy consumption and harmful flue gas, oxygen-enrichment is used to replace air for smelting, and the production capacity of the equipment can be improved at the same time. The oxygen concentration is between 35% and 90%. A flash furnace with an annual output of 3600 tons/year of copper should be equipped with an oxygen generator with an oxygen production capacity of 3000 m3/h and an oxygen purity of 95%. A 100,000-ton/year lead-zinc smelting plant should be equipped with an oxygen generator with an oxygen production capacity of 1500 m3/h and an oxygen purity of 95%. However, due to the lower requirement for oxygen purity, the required capacity of the industrial oxygen generator is not that high, so a molecular sieve adsorption oxygen generator can be used.

In the process of producing chemical fertilizers from ammonia synthesis, oxygen is also indispensable. In addition to the main raw material nitrogen, oxygen is also widely used in high-temperature cracking of heavy oil and coal gasification to strengthen the process and improve fertilizer production. According to statistics, a set of100,000 t/a ammonia synthesis unit needs a 10,000 m3/hindustrial oxygen generator to meet the demand.

In addition, the production of methanol and propylene from natural gas reforming to produce their oxides, as well as desulfurization and recovery, will consume a large amount of oxygen. If the oxygen consumption per ton of product is in the range of300 ~ 1000 m3/t, then we need to configure a 10000~30000m3/h/hindustrial oxygen generator.

For coal pressurized gasification in the energy industry, sufficient oxygen needs to be supplied to maintain the temperature of the oxide layer in the furnace. Therefore, the purity of oxygen should not be less than 95%, and the oxygen consumption per kilogram of coal varies with the type and quality of coal. Lignite is 0.14 ~ 0.18 m3/kg; ordinary bituminous coal is 0.17 ~ 0.22 m3/kg. The oxygen pressure in the production process is mainly determined by the production process requirements. When the oxygen pressure is higher, the corresponding oxygen consumption will be less. For integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plants, 1 kw of electricity requires 5.6 m of oxygen.

industrial oxygen generatorsThe application is mainly in metal cutting and welding. As an accelerator for acetylene, it can produce a high-temperature flame, promoting the rapid melting of metals.

In the national defense industry, liquid oxygen is often used as an oxidant for rockets. Combustible substances soaked in liquid oxygen have high explosiveness and can be used to make liquid oxygen explosives.

In addition, in the medical department, the oxygen produced by industrial oxygen generators is also an indispensable substance for patient emergency rescue and auxiliary treatment. Therefore, oxygen production has become an indispensable part of the national economy.
